Epic Games, the makers of Fortnite and a well known company in the gaming industry recently got into a dispute with Apple and Google, jeopardizing gamers and game developers. Though each side has their own reasons to hold their position, gamers like us are at the receiving end as this dispute drags on. We will soon lose the flexibility of playing the game on the devices of our choice, and we will pay more for using their services as the companies in either side of this dispute lose money by holding onto their respective positions. I believe that this dispute could have been avoided by both sides renegotiating the terms, without the need for such a brinkmanship.
